Pierre Chapo is a French furniture designer who is characterized by a production between art, design and craft where wood is the dominant element. Inspired by classical Greek and Roman culture, the Bauhaus and modern architects such as Le Corbusier, Franck Lloyd Wright or Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Chapo manages to follow in the footsteps of the precursors of modern furniture while at the same time setting himself apart.

In this tribute sale, a selection of the artist's most emblematic works are presented, all in solid elm, the wood of choice for Pierre Chapo, who works it in its simple and raw essence. From the B17 bookcase to the S31 stools and the famous Sfax table, each of his pieces expresses his creator's desire to combine architecture and geometry to create objects that are functional, aesthetic and homogeneous thanks to a great sense of proportion and line.
