FIX MASSEAU PIERRE Ferrari - Mas du Clos Circuit de Creuse Poster signed in pencil / Signed by Pierre Fix Masseau Ferrari - Mas du Clos Circuit de Creuse Affiche signée au Crayon / Signed By Pierre Fix Masseau In 1963, a dozen kilometers from Aubusson, at the foot of the family château in Saint Avit de Tardes, Pierre Bardinon created the Mas du Clos circuit from scratch. This industrialist in the pellerie and leather industry (http://www.chapal.fr/) had been a motor sport enthusiast from an early age, and in 63 he threw himself into the deep end, opening this magnificent "old-style" circuit, 3.071 km long in its final 1967 version. In 63, the circuit measured around 400 metres, and with the creation of ASA Mas du Clos in 1965 came homologation for all non-public training and competitions. 1967 saw the arrival of the current circuit, and the news spread rapidly through the automotive and sporting world: the first major team to come and race in the Creuse was Matra, followed by Alpine, Ligier, the Dunlop manufacturer, and in the early 70s, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Peugeot and Mercedes Benz (both manufacturers and official clubs) came to race on the French Brands Hatch. The opening to the big clubs came in 1971, when the prestigious official clubs Bugatti, Bentley and Ferrari gathered to wear out the rubber on the asphalt of Mas du Clos. For more than three decades, the circuit welcomed manufacturers, clubs (car and motorcycle) and, above all, enthusiasts who could easily meet the owner to discover his Ferrari collection (still some thirty cars today), his miniature collection, his library or simply to talk about their passion for cars. / It is at a dozen kilometers from Aubusson at the foot of the family chateau of Saint Avit de Tardes that Pierre Bardinon creates in 1963 the circuit of the Mas du Clos.
