TAKIS (né en 1925) TAKIS (born 1925) Years 1990 - 22k yellow gold spiral pendant with lead magnets and silk cord. Signed. H. 13,5 cm. (about). P. Gross weight: 38,15g. A few missing enamels. Self-taught, the Greek artist Takis, quickly established himself on the contemporary scene with his mechanical works. Among them, his emblematicSignals. In the 1960s, the artist became close to the Fluxus group and designed several musical sculptures. A fervent defender of art accessible to all, he also created works in public spaces, such as in La Défense, and opened the Research Centre for Art and Science near Athens. In 2018, The Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris presents Diane Venet's unique collection of 150 international contemporary artists, entitled "From Calder to Koons, Artists' Jewels. La Collection Idéale de Diane Venet".In the exhibition, two of Takis' jewels are presented, created with gold and magnets, titanium and stones, magnetic jewels close to the model presented in our sale today.
