NOTES: We find in this rare and exceptional gold proof only made to 6 copies, all the iconography of the soft watch of Dali and its surrealist spirit. This Dali Watch, of an incredible quality of realization becomes even more surrealist by the fact that it is equipped with a dial and a movement. The play of materials, the curves and counter-curves are in the image of the preparatory studies and drawings made by Salvador Dali, giving him the desire for this superb creation of soft watch, a key subject in his surrealist repertoire. Three plates of documentation on the tests and the studies carried out between 1975 and 1977 by Salvador Dali and Enrique Sabater, as well as a plate with the caligraphic tests which one finds on the back of box of our soft watch and its cabochon are joined there. A model of bracelet "montre molle" is to be brought closer to our model and was exposed at the time of the retrospective of the artist in Japan in 1982 and illustrated in the catalogue raisonnée of the artist under the number 76, as well as two preparatory plates n° 76-5. "Catalogue raisonnée, Edition Art Life Ltd, circa 1982". Provenance: This copy was given to the present owner by Enrique Sabater.
