TOM DIXON (1959) - Lot 37
TOM DIXON (1959) Pair of chairs "Pylon Chair Structure in white lacquered wire. Circa 2000. Edition Cappellini. Height : 127 cm 127 cm - Width : 70 cm - Depth : 58 cm Tom DIXON is a British designer. His favorite material is metal. In the 1990's, he became known with the S-Chair (Capellini edition) and the Pylon chair, of which we present a model for sale. He participates in the democratization of design furniture by collaborating with major brands like Habitat. The Pylon chair evokes a crane or a construction game. Its production is based on old techniques, while showing contemporary lines. It was created with the specification of being the lightest metal chair possible, and the Pylon chair delivers! Inspired by bridges and steel structures, the Pylon chair is so light and transparent that it blends into an interior, but also into a garden where its openwork shape diffracts the light.
